HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — One of the latest guests on the Dr. Phil show was the South Bend teacher who was fired after an REAL News Michiana investigation uncovered she had started an online pornography page and was having her 10-year-old students call her by her porno name. However, if you watched the segment, you didn’t know nearly any of the details, including the fact that she was married to a convicted child molester and had children refer to her by her porno nickname. Instead, the disgraced teacher and Dr. Phil slandered RNM by blaming the news outlet for her termination.
“I started a page and only had my page for a few weeks before a local blogger in the community, got my photos from my site and sent them to my employer.” The teacher, Sarah Seales (Juree), said in the segment.
“Someone found this pictures and pulled them off the site.” Dr. Phil states.
“Actually purchased them from my page… so, he purchased them and distributed them on social media sites as a way to shame and humiliate me.” Seales falsely states in response, as RNM was provided pictures from a concerned member of the community.
Seales then goes on to falsely state that an email sent from RNM to her employer was the reason she was fired. Once again, she lies, claiming her employer did not give her a reason for her termination.
“They did not specify a specific policy.” Juree said as she lied directly to Dr. Phil’s face.
In fact, RNM was provided a copy of Seales’ termination letter that cites the specific reason for her termination, with a policy code and code key attached. RNM obtained the letter when Seales filed it with the court herself in a failed attempt at litigation aimed at RNM. You can read the termination letter below.
BACKGROUND:
RNM first published the story about Seales in the end of June this year. Seales was a teacher at the STEM based DoD STARBASE.
DoD STARBASE is a collaboration between school districts and the military, offering classes and camps in the STEM field across the country, mainly for children in 5th grade. South Bend’s STARBASE school is located at the National Guard Armory off of Kemble Avenue on the southwest side of town. Several local schools have partnerships with the program, where they send children for week of hands-on STEM based learning.
According to the Indiana National Guard website, “STARBASE is a Department of Defense educational program with four locations in Indiana, including Fort Wayne, South Bend, Gary and Indianapolis, residing at the Stout Field headquarters campus of the Indiana National Guard. Indiana STARBASE students participate in challenging “hands-on, minds-on” experiential activities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in an environment that is both technological and that exposes them to positive civilian and military role models in their communities. The free, five-day, 25-hour intensive program is designed at the 5th grade level for an entire class (up to 32 students), and STARBASE also provides summer camps for individual students wishing to participate in the program.”
THE TEACHER
Seales used the nickname “Buttercup” on her pornography page. It turns out, Seales also used the same name at the school. RNM confirmed Seales had her students call her “Buttercup” as well. Photos on the school’s website also show that she used the nickname.
Further, she also advertises her pornography page on her open and public social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram.
RNM reached out to the Dr. Phil show asking why RNM was never contacted, why her marriage to a child molester was not discussed, why the fact that she had her students call her by her prono name was not mentioned and how she and the host were allowed to slander RNM. As of publication, the Dr. Phil show has not responded.
