SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A REAL News Michiana investigation has revealed how a St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice program failed in multiple ways, allowing a violent juvenile felon to shoot and kill 28-year-old Rhema Harris at her Mishawaka home in June of last year. Police have charged 18-year-old Braxton Bird, who was 17-years-old at the time, with Harris' murder. Harris was a corrections officer at the St. Joseph County Jail.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend City Clerk Candidate Tina Wilson (R) responded to St. Joseph County Democrat Party lies and attacks regarding a recent incident in which she stopped an attempted burglary at her home. Two men who are living in a local homeless program, known as Motels 4 Now, were trespassing on her property and attempting to get into a window on her house when she confronted them last week. One of the men ran off. She held the other man at gunpoint until police arrived. Wilson's two children, including one who is only 7-years-old, were home during the incident.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- REAL News Michiana has learned that City Clerk Candidate Tina Wilson (R) stopped an attempted burglary at her home as two men attempted to break into her house early this morning. The incident happened around 7:45am as she was loading her children into her car to take them to school. One of the attempted burglars ran off while she held another at gunpoint until police arrived.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Both WSBT and NPR published stories last week covering for the St. Joseph County Democrat Party's partnership with a convicted violent felon who has been arrested for child molestation twice. The stories were regarding a protest organized and held in partnership with the Democrat Party and the convicted felon outside of County Councilwoman Amy Drake's home. The demonstration, in which the alleged child molester attended, occurred at 6:30 in the morning as Drake's children were preparing to go to school. Drake is a mother of 7. Both news outlets ignored the alleged child molester's involvement and instead lambasted Drake for calling out the intimidation at her house.

According to sources with the St. Joseph County Clerk's Office, 56-year-old Mitchell Mace presented himself at Lincoln Elementary School on the city's southeast side claiming to be a volunteer to work the polls.
