DOCUMENTS: Satanic Temple sues Indiana to continue “ritual” human sacrifice/abortion

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Satanic Temple is suing the state of Indiana in federal court on grounds of religious freedom, claiming the state’s new abortion laws violate their religious “ritual” of human sacrifice, among other things.

“When a member of TST has an unwanted pregnancy, she exercises her religious
beliefs as expressions of Tenets III and V by engaging in the Satanic Abortion Ritual.” The lawsuit reads in part. “The Indiana Abortion Ban effectively prohibits the exercise of the Satanic Abortion Ritual. There is no compelling state interest served by prohibiting the Satanic Abortion Ritual.”

According to the lawsuit, there are 1.5 million members of The Satanic Temple worldwide with more than 11,000 members in the Hoosier state. In fact, several supporters and members have been volunteers at South Bend’s lone abortion clinic, Whole Woman’s Health. Those volunteers call themselves “deathscorts” and help escort women into the clinic to terminate the lives of their unborn children.

The Satanic Temple has also infiltrated the local government buildings in St. Joseph County. Every year, an allied organization called Northern Indiana Atheists, sets up a Satanic holiday display in the County-City Building in Downtown South Bend.

Northern Indiana Atheists has also assisted The Satanic Temple with fundraising efforts in a campaign called “Menstruatin’ with Satan,” to which multiple local Democrat leaders donated.

The Indiana chapter of The Satanic Temple was founded, owned and operated by 4th grade teacher in Fort Wayne.
