SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A University of Notre Dame employee was caught on camera calling for Christians to be murdered simply because of their faith. Nick Kuntzman, who now goes by Gabrielle, called for violence against the religious group while providing “security” outside of a local church that was hosting a drag show for kids last week.
“Every Christian should be murdered.” Kuntzman said as he aggressively got into the faces of two men who were protesting the drag show.
“You believe Christians should be murdered?” The Christian protester responded.
“Because Christians murdered pagans for thousands of years.” Kuntzman said.
“So who should murder them?” The man responded.
“Probably Christians.” Kuntzman said to the two men while laughing. “You all murder each other, ready?”
According to the University of Notre Dame website, Kuntzman is an IT and Finance Analyst for the University and has been an employee there since approximately 2018. He was a featured speaker for the University’s 2022 “International Transgender Day of Visibility lunch and learn panel.”
“Gabby has made herself an open resource to those seeking assistance navigating the campus environment as a trans person, or employees with trans family. She welcomes questions from anyone in any division or walk of life.” Kuntzman’s bio on Notre Dame’s website states.
Prior to undergoing hormone therapy and surgery to appear more like a woman, Kuntzman was an Infantryman in the Michigan Army National Guard. According to Notre Dame’s website, he is also a veteran of the war in Afghanistan.
REAL News Michiana reached out to Notre Dame for comment. As of publication, we have not received a response.
THE DRAG SHOW
This is the second time Kuntzman has been spotted providing security outside of the church as it hosted a drag show for kids.
The Well Coffee House, which is part of (and inside) River Park Grace Church on Mishawaka Avenue, hosted the “All Ages Drag Pride Edition” event on June 9th. According to the portal used to purchase tickets for the event, children 5 and under get in for free. While kids 6-17 get in at half price.
The church held a similar Halloween themed drag show for children in October of 2022. During that event, free admission was offered to children 4-years-old and younger with children 5-17 receiving a discounted entry fee of $5. However, adults had to pay $10. Both events were put together in coordination with the South Bend LGBTQ Center.
The Halloween themed event received major backlash from the public with a large protest during the show. Ironically, members of the Satanic Temple, Northern Indiana Atheists and abortion clinic volunteers provided security for the church during the protest.
According to event details on the LGBTQ Center’s website, the event is being held at The Well Coffee House on Mishawaka Avenue in South Bend. A quick search of The Well’s website shows the coffee shop and River Park Grace Church are the same entity. The Well is the church’s coffee shop.
According to the church’s website, the executive pastor is a woman by the name of Megan Chandler. RNM searched Chandler’s social media feeds that show she is currently a Ph.D. candidate for Counseling Psychology. She currently holds a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also claims to be the founder of The Well on her Facebook page.
OTHER DRAG SHOWS
The LGBTQ Center has a long history of offering drag shows to children. Last summer, RNM broke a story about another LGBTQ Center drag show in which a Girl Scout Troop attended. At that event, young Girl Scout members tipped the drag queens with Girl Scout Cookies.
