GOSHEN, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has received an assignment given to students in a Goshen High School English class asking them to define a huge list of terms, mainly related to radical gender theory. The assignment asks 11th grade children to go around the room and define terms such as Asexual, Bisexual, Coming Out, Birth Assigned Sex, Cisgender, Cissexism, Biphobia, Ally — among other terms.
The assignment appears to have been given in teacher Anne Rackley’s English Class. It has a title at the top of “Short Fiction/Social Injustice.”
REAL News Michiana reached out to Rackley and the Principal of Goshen High School for comment. Neither responded to RNM’s questions. It’s unclear if this assignment was only used in Rackley’s class, or if it was given in other Goshen High School English classrooms.
Last year, RNM uncovered a Goshen Middle School teacher organized a kids’ drag show at a local park pool. The Superintendent ended up defending the teacher following backlash from the community.
