“Girls” on the Run? Charity for Girls Promotes Kids in Drag

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — A local charity aimed at girls as young as 8-years-old is promoting drag and transgenderism in kids. Girls on the Run Michiana, which has partnerships with approximately 60 area schools, has become vocal in promoting woke ideology such as non-binary, transgenderism and drag.

“Programming is open to any child identifying as a girl and to children identifying as non-binary, gender-fluid and gender-expansive.” GOTR wrote on Twitter in June of 2020.

According to the GOTR website, “Girls on the Run is the only national physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls with compelling evidence of program impact.” The non-profit serves 200,000 girls across the country annually.

Multiple GOTR Michiana board members have expressed radical views in regard to gender ideology. The Program Director, Rebekah Enzler, has a social media page full of extreme ideological rants, some having to do with transgender issues that she appears to be passing onto children. One picture she posted says, “Protect Trans Kids.”

The leader of the non-profit also seems to be pushing the same ideology onto the Penn Harris Madison school district. Amy Cooper Collier spoke at the latest board of school trustees meeting on Monday.

“I’m a former teacher and I’m the current director of a local non-profit that serves over 350 PHM students this year, providing social emotional learning.” GOTR Michiana Council Director, Amy Cooper Collier, said. “I also appreciate the district’s intentional efforts around diversity and inclusion, ensuring our children are able to benefit from conversations and perspectives that many of us did not have as children.”

According to the GOTR Michiana website, the organization has locations at 67 different locations across St. Joseph, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko and Marshall counties. Those locations are mainly elementary schools. They also have locations at multiple middle schools and Boys and Girls Clubs.
