SOUTH BEND, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has obtained video showing Democrat South Bend Common Councilwoman Sheila Niezgodski appearing to threaten to hit a man at a meeting in the County-City Building in Downtown South Bend earlier this month. Surveillance video from council chambers shows Niezgodski charge at a man, then draw back her hand as if preparing to hit him before she is pulled away by multiple people at the end of the council’s meeting on May 13th.
The man Shiela Niezgodski was threatening is Logan Foster, an amateur journalist who recently started an online publication called “Redress South Bend.” In the past several weeks, Foster published a story outlining sexual harassment allegations against Sheila Niezgodski’s husband, Democrat State Senator Dave Niezgodski. Foster followed that story up with an even more salacious article, claiming Sheila Niezgodski met Dave Niezgodski when he was married to another woman and broke up that marriage through an extramarital affair.
Foster himself has a bit of a checkered past when it comes to his tact. Before starting his publication, he was essentially trespassed from the Mayor’s Office for allegedly harassing employees. Foster attempted to get REAL News Michiana to publish a story regarding his issues, but we declined. Within weeks, he started “Redress South Bend.” A letter from the city’s legal department banning Foster from the Mayor’s Office can be seen below.
