DOWAGIAC, Mich. — REAL News Michiana has discovered the first ever Cass County Pride event is being organized by a self-proclaimed sex worker. The event is part of the OutCenter’s PrideFest series, which is hitting three different Southwest Michigan towns during the month of June. The Cass County event is scheduled for June 8th, at the Library Pavilion Park in Downtown Dowagiac. According to event details, it will be a “family friendly” event featuring games, live entertainment, children’s activities, food and more.
Part of the OutCenter’s organizational team for the event is Hailey Colpitts, a self-proclaimed “sex worker” who has assisted in organizing public drag shows for children in years past.

Colpitts describes herself online as a “stripper,” a “whore” and “sex worker.” Colpitts also holds extreme anti-police ideologies. Below are several examples of her social media posts over the years.
May 2021: “Nothing grinds my gears more than people telling me I won’t make it in politics bc ‘your constituents have seen your t*ts’. Idgaf – that doesn’t make me stupid. It makes me smart for taking that $$$$.” She wrote.
In March of 2021 she posted about being, what appears to be, an actual prostitute.
“Maybe my freelance ideas just aren’t that good and I should stick to being a whore. At least that’s easy for me lol.” She wrote.
In June of 2022, she wrote an article about getting an abortion. She then took to social media with her message about being a sex worker and getting an abortion.
“Being a sex worker and having abortions IS NOT WRONG.” She wrote.
Colpitts further posts videos and pictures of herself pole dancing. She has multiple posts showing her and a toddler pole dancing together. REAL News Michiana redacted the images of the child’s face to protect her identity.
Colpitts is also extremely open about her hatred for law enforcement. She frequently posts ACAB (All Cops Are Bastards), calls officers “pigs” and writes “f***” the police.
DRAG SHOWS FOR KIDS
It’s not clear if the Pride event in Dowagiac will have a drag show as part of its “live entertainment” lineup, however, Colpitts organized a drag show for children as part of the first annual Pridefest in Niles, Michigan, last year.
Colpitts is also organizing pride events in Benton Harbor and Niles in the weekends following PrideFest in Cass County.
