MISHAWAKA, Ind. — A woman was nearly in tears as she went on crazed rant attempting to get a veteran cop’s security contract removed from the Penn Harris Madison School Corporation’s books. The meltdown occurred during public comment at PHM’s latest School Board meeting on Monday night. During her speech, Kristie Witt (who is an Oncology Specialists at Advanced Accelerator Applications by profession and has no security background herself) made several false and defamatory claims about 49 year retired cop Tim Corbett, who is the former commander of both the St. Joseph County Homicide Unit and SWAT.
Corbett pulls security outside of the school board’s monthly meetings, as well as provides threat assessments and on site security at schools. Witt falsely accused Corbett of meeting up with a “convicted felon” outside of the school board meeting in July. Witt has previously falsely accused Corbett of tracking and harassing parents.
Corbett also has a private investigation company. In July, Witt went on another deranged rant regarding the retired cop. You see, Witt is a member of the “conservative” parent group called “Strengthen Our Schools” (SOS). SOS has been vocally supporting school board member Matt Chaffee despite confirmed reports of Chaffee’s admitted addiction to prostitutes, drugs, alcohol and gambling. Chaffee has also been credibly accused of stalking multiple women and is currently under investigation for his alleged involvement in an illegal college sports gambling operation. Corbett has been looking into many of those allegations in a private capacity.
“PHM has nothing to do with any of my investigations.” Corbett told RNM in July. “I was contacted by people outside of the school district about allegations involving Mr. Matt Chaffee and his behavior outside of his capacity as a school board member. I have an obligation to look into the allegations.”
RNM wrote a story regarding Witt’s unhinged July rant, appearing to prompt her meltdown on Monday night.
“The next day, Clifton wrote an article on me and Ben Dallas (a local parent) made a (YouTube) video on me.” Witt said. “Mr Corbett was quoted as saying that I was a tinfoil hat wearer and he’s not investigating parents. Meanwhile that very night I obtained ESC footage showing that very same gentleman pulling in at 6:32pm in his work vehicle with Cobett behind him a minute later. The guy and Corbett got out of their vehicles and chatted for approximately 10 minutes. Mr. Corbett has never gotten out of his vehicle once in the time I’ve attended these meetings. The guy he spoke to is a felon. According to people who know him, for stalking, harassing, invasion of privacy and making explicit implicit threats of sexual nature.”
RNM spoke to Tim Corbett who only recalls speaking with a parent, Ben Dallas, prior to that meeting. Dallas has never been arrested or charged with a crime. The only thing on Dallas’ record is a traffic citation from 1997.
“Play the footage. Say the felon’s name. What is the allegation?” Corbett said. “I only recall speaking to Dallas. However, it is my job to speak to all kinds of people to ensure the safety of our schools. I even talk to people who are crazy. In fact, if Ms. Witt would like to walk up and introduce herself in the parking lot as Mr. Dallas did, I’d even speak with her.”
Witt went on to claim she’s being harassed and scared for her life.
“I’m now fearful of speaking out on issues that affect children and myself as a taxpayer.” Witt said prior to appearing to break into tears. “Because PHM has created and allowed this environment that’s unsafe, threatening, intimidating and harassing where I know many people fear for their life… this is absolutely ridiculous, I’m so embarrassed.”

You should be ashamed of yourself, Clifton. Nothing she said was crazy, nor a rant. I must suppose you support the intimidation, slander, and bullying of the people who are supporting change in the corrupt PHM school system and those like Kristi who are voicing their concerns. You are no friend to conservatives in Granger seeking positive change in our school district.
