Lafayette hosting free drag show for kids

Performers scheduled include names like "Yuka Layme" and "Anita Schwanz"

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has learned PRIDE Lafayette is hosting a free drag show for kids later this month. The event, which is part of PRIDE Lafayette’s annual Outfest is scheduled for August 19th at 9:00pm. While the cover charge for the drag show is $10, according to a flyer for the event, children 12-and-under get in for free.

“Performers” for the event include men dressing as women using the names “Anita Schwanz” (a play on words for someone who is searching for male genitalia) and “Yuka Layme” (a play on words for “you can” have sex with me).

Yuka Layme is known for singing raunchy songs including those about promiscuity. You can listen to one of those songs below.

Sponsors for the event include IU Health and local radio station Q106.7. RNM reached out to both organizations for comment. As of publication, we have not received a response.
