INDIANA — REAL News Michiana has discovered abortionists in Indianapolis and Bloomington broke the law three times in less than two weeks by failing to report abortions performed on children to the Indiana Department of Child Services. All of the abortions were performed at Planned Parenthood locations in April of 2022.

Two of the unreported abortions occurred at the Georgetown Road Planned Parenthood in Indianapolis, according to terminated pregnancy reports (TPRs) obtained by RNM. The first abortion occurred on April 28th, 2022, and involved a 14-year-old mother who was 8-weeks pregnant. The second abortion was performed the very next day, April 29th. The mother in that case was 13-years-old and reported to be 7-weeks pregnant. According to the TPRs in those cases, the incidents were never submitted to the Department of Child Services as required by Indiana law. Subscribers can view the TPRs below.

Both of those abortions were also performed by the same doctor, Casandra Cashman. Cashman is currently a Family Health Practitioner in Indianapolis with the Community Health Network. According to their website, "Cashman received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Wells College, a women's college in upstate New York. Her doctor of medicine degree was earned at the University of Louisville, and she completed residency with a women's health area of concentration at Halifax Medical Center, a community hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida. She then joined the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at University of Michigan as a women's health fellow, there also serving as a faculty member in the department of family medicine. In Michigan, she was a participant in the faculty development institute and a visiting professor of family medicine to Shizuoka, Japan. Her clinical interests include contraception, colposcopy, vulvar disease, maternal-child health, non-operative obstetrics, and reproductive health (ie abortion)."

A third unreported abortion was performed on a 15-year-old mother in Bloomington on April 21st. According to the TPR in that case, the mother was six weeks pregnant at the time and the abortion was also not reported to the Department of Child Services as required by law. The Bloomington abortion was performed by Doctor Deborah Nucatola, the Chief Medical Officer for Planned Parenthood nationally. Dr. Nucatola was the subject of an undercover journalism project in 2015 in which she admitted to selling the body parts of aborted children. Nucatola also admitted to performing partial birth abortions in order to supply intact body parts.

According to Indiana Code 16-34-2-5(b), "if an abortion is for a female who is less than sixteen (16) years of age, the health care provider shall transmit the form to the state department of health and separately to the department of child services within three (3) days after the abortion is performed."

According to pro-life organization, Voices for Life, there was another unreported abortion involving a child in March.

“Attorney General Todd Rokita is currently suing Dr. Caitlin Bernard for failing to adequately
report an abortion on a minor,” Voices for Life Executive Director Melanie Lyon said. “These
four other cases of reporting failure underscore this widespread malpractice in the Indiana
abortion industry. We have reported all four incidents, and we are working with the Indiana AG to ensure each of these abortionists are held accountable for endangering the safety of these children.”
