Major Elkhart Company Starts Mandatory “Gender Pronoun Awareness” Training

ELKHART, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has been provided an email detailing mandatory “Gender Pronoun Awareness” training at a major company headquartered in Elkhart. The email was sent to employees of Conn Selmer by the company’s Talent and Culture Manager late last week. Conn Selmer is a major manufacturer and distributor of musical instruments.

  1. I think what Conn-Selmer is saying is each employee, no matter their work history or reputation, has to take the Diversity & Inclusion training. If not, the company will exclude them.

  2. Employers should not be in the business of attitude indoctrination of employees unless specific behaviors actually disrupt the workplace or quality of work in which case the employer can take disciplinary action. Otherwise forcing employees to take “training” on topics that are not essential to the job is simply discrimination because for lack of any proof otherwise they are making the assumption that each employee required to take the training is ignorant of social norms, or is racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. Further, who is the judge that says the training itself doesn’t actually PROMOTE discrimination just like CRT promotes racism when it claims that it does not? I hope some of the employees file a discrimination lawsuit.
