MAJOR CONCERN: State Dept. of Health Hides Info on SB Abortion Clinic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Concerns are being raised by several pro-life groups and elected officials as the Indiana Department of Health refuses to release standard information about a South Bend abortion clinic, while it continues to release the same information for every other abortion clinic throughout the state. REAL News Michiana has learned the IDOH has refused to release Terminated Pregnancy Reports (TPRs) from the Whole Woman’s Health abortion clinic since October of 2021. These reports do not include identifiable information about patients and are considered public record.

The IDOH seemed to stop releasing the TPRs for Whole Woman’s Health only after RNM uncovered TPRs showing multiple illegal abortions being performed at the clinic.

“Terminated Pregnancy Reports (TPRs) are crucial in holding abortion businesses accountable and protecting women and children from an industry motivated by profit.” Jackie Appleman, Executive Director of Right to Life Michiana, said. “Here in Indiana, we understand that better than anyone. Examining Terminated Pregnancy Reports allowed us to alert the health department that the infamous abortionist Ulrich Klopfer failed to report an abortion on multiple underage minors in the necessary time frame to DCS and law enforcement. I’m concerned that we have not received TPRs in 3 months from WWH. What do they not want Hoosiers to know?”

RNM has learned the IDOH has not only ignored requests from multiple pro-life groups and individuals, but also elected officials, including Congresswoman Jackie Walorski. State Representative Jake Teshka also sent a letter to the State Health Commissioner, Dr. Kristina Box.

RNM has submitted public records requests for TPRs for the missing reported months. As of publication, that request has not been fulfilled.
