South Bend COVID Testing Site Closed After FBI Raid

Center for Covid Control location in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A COVID testing site in South Bend is closed after the FBI raided the company’s headquarters in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The Center for Covid Control has more than 300 locations across the country. The South Bend location is near the intersection of North Ironwood Drive and Edison Road in the old Women’s Pavilion abortion clinic.

The site in South Bend has listed hours of operation from 9:00am-5:00pm, 7 days a week. However, a sign on the front door says the clinic is closed temporarily. Despite having a listed re-opening date of January 22nd, the clinic was still shuttered on Tuesday.

The Center for Covid Control received more than $124-million in taxpayer money from the federal government, according to a report by the Daily Wire.

Multiple states and the Better Business Bureau had already been investigating the company. Minnesota’s Attorney General said the company was giving “inaccurate and deceptive test result information to Minnesota consumers and have fraudulently reported negative test results to consumers that never completed COVID-19 tests.”

The Center for Covid Control put the following statement on their website:

“Center for Covid Control (CCC) announced today it is extending its pause on operations and will not be reopening on Saturday, January 22, 2022. CCC remains committed to providing the highest level of customer service and diagnostic quality and will not resume collection of patient samples until staffing resources permit CCC to operate at full capacity. As previously announced, CCC is using this operational pause to train additional staff on sample collection and handling, customer service and communications best practices, as well as compliance with regulatory guidelines. CCC will provide an update on reopening plans when appropriate.”

According to the company’s website, they also have a location in LaPorte, Indiana. However, the company has now hidden their locations section of the webpage.

At this point, it’s not clear what exactly the FBI was searching for at the company’s headquarters or what the agency discovered in the raid.
