MISHAWAKA, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has confirmed a Division Chief for the Mishawaka Police Department has been put on administrative leave pending a further investigation. Several sources at MPD tell RNM, a station-wide email was sent notifying all officers and staff of the situation regarding Uniform Division Chief Bryan Fox.
RNM reached out to the Mishawaka Fraternal Order of Police for comment and more details. The FOP president did not give comment and deferred all questions to Chief of Police Ken Witkowski.
RNM reached out to Witkowski’s office on Wednesday. He did not return our call.
RNM is being told several different stories as to why this action has been taken and is currently working to confirm details.
According to a recent post on the Mishawaka Police Department Facebook page, Chief Fox has been with the department for 26 years.
