Hill destroys competition in first Gubernatorial poll since announcing campaign

Hill beat Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch by more than 20 points

Curtis Hill, Republican Candidate for Governor of Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Former Indiana Attorney General and current Republican candidate for Governor Curtis Hill blew away his competition in the first poll regarding the race since he announced his bid for the office earlier this month. Hill held a commanding 20-point lead over the runner up in the poll, Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch. Even more surprising was how poorly presumed frontrunner Senator Mike Braun performed, garnering only 6% of the vote.

The WFYI reader poll, which was held last, week ended with the following results.

Hill: 43%

Crouch: 22%

Eric Doden: 8%

Braun: 6%

Someone else: 18%

“This poll demonstrates that Hoosiers want a proven conservative.” A statement from Hill stated. “I am the only candidate in this race who has a strong track record of conservative leadership. Our message is resonating with Hoosiers across Indiana. The people of Indiana are getting behind our campaign in a big way, because I’ve done the hard work and I’ve always stood tall for our values.”

“As Attorney General, I fought for our God-given rights, I never backed down to radical progressive agendas, and I defended the most vulnerable Hoosiers, the unborn. Indiana knows that I am a rock-solid conservative leader who will ensure Hoosiers have elite educational opportunities, a thriving economy, and a safe environment in which to live and raise a family.”

  1. Poll by? Sample size? Method? Likely or registered voters? Statistics should never be summarized as the poll run to create an outcome is how we are fed nationally so let’s not let it happen locally…
