NAPPANEE, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has learned third party ticket sales platform Eventbrite removed an event featuring a professor, nurse and doctor simply because it is a conservative event discussing issues in our education system. The event, which is being organized by the parent rights organization Purple 4 Parents of Indiana based in Nappanee, was taken down from the platform Tuesday evening.

“We’re reaching out regarding your event listing, RSVP America: Restoring Social Virtue and Purity to America.” An email from Eventbrite to Purple 4 Parents reads. “We have determined that your event is not permitted on the Eventbrite platform as it violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, specifically our policy on Hateful, Dangerous, or Violent Content and Events. As a result, your event has been unpublished. Please be aware that severe or repeated violations of our guidelines may result in the suspension or termination of your Eventbrite account. We have refunded all attendees who purchased tickets to your event, if necessary.”

Purple 4 Parents has used Eventbrite in the past with no issues. In fact, they promoted nearly the exact same event in Indianapolis in April. It was not removed.

It turns out, a push by leftist activists to report the event as being hosted by a “hate group” may be the reason it was removed from the platform. A thread on the social media platform Reddit that started 8 days ago appears to have generated at least a dozen complaints being sent to Eventbrite.

THE EVENT

The event, being called America: Restoring Social Virtue and Purity to America is scheduled for August 19th in Evansville. Details regarding the event can be seen in the document below.

A spokesperson for Purple 4 Parents Indiana tells RNM the organization has already had their attorney reach out to Eventbrite. Since then, they’ve been able to republish their event. However, all of the ticket sales they previously had have been lost.

  1. Yet Eventbrite is now offering a “Come Meet A Black Person” series premised on cultural racism and that white America must fix it. Quote: “America was built upon racism and is a part of all systems and structures.” “The first step is to acknowledge white privilege, and the privileges afforded to other non-whites striving to be accepted in whiteness.”

Gee… that’s not promoting hatred at all!

  2. Apparently this is where this fringe group who reported the Purple 4 Parents event gets it’s “legs”: Purple 4 Parents is listed by Southern Poverty Law Center as a “hate group”, among other “hate groups” like “Moms for Liberty” (a nationwide organization striving to preserve parent’s rights), “Indiana Parents Involved in Education”, etc. This is a dangerously radical organization that desperately seeks legitimacy, and they will be just that if we let them. Don’t let them.
