SOUTH BEND, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has learned the St. Joseph County Health Department is pushing a radical racist agenda in the form of Critical Race Theory tenets, even promoting the historically defunct 1619 Project that was written by CRT enthusiast Nikole Hannah Jones. And, it’s all funded by the taxpayer dollar.
It turns out, the Health Department isn’t even hiding their agenda — it’s all laid out on it’s website.
The St. Joseph County Department of Health is running this radical agenda through what it calls it’s HEED Unit (Health Equity, Epidemiology and Data). The website gives “educational tools” for CRT’s mainstaple of “anti-racism” where white people are to admit their privilege and feel guilty for the color of their skin. It also pushes people to the 1619 Project, an article called Fear a Black President by CRT leader Ta-Nehisi Coates and the radical leftist podcast for pushing CRT into schools called Nice White Parents.
RNM has confirmed the HEED Unit is run by a radical left wing Democrat activist named Cassy White. White consistently pushes Critical Race Theory tenets on social media while also lambasting Republicans and local elected officials.
The hijacking of the Department of Health by radical leftist activists has been growing in recent years.
Last year, the DoH hired a disgraced doctor who lost her medical license and was sued for killing a mother and a baby to do a study in the county regarding racism’s impact on maternal fetal deaths, which the DoH called “Birth Equity.”
