Edwardsburg Superintendent candidate’s apparent obscene social media feed

UPDATE: Brenton deleted his entire Twitter account after publication of this story, so links to his tweets no longer work. However, RNM took screenshots of all of the tweets and created a gallery within this story so they can be viewed.

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. — REAL News Michiana has uncovered what appears to be the radical and obscene social media feed of one of the candidates for the Superintendent position at Edwardsburg Public Schools. Mark Brenton is one of the three final candidates who was interviewed by the Edwardsburg School Board on Tuesday night. He is currently the Superintendent of Bellaire Schools. And, appears to promote radical conspiracy theories and political violence in his social media feeds. Edwardsburg’s current superintendent is retiring at the end of June.

BRENTON’S HATEFUL AND POLITICALLY CHARGED TWITTER ACCOUNT

While Brenton appears to attempt to hide his account through a fake profile picture, connections with his relatives and posts he has made seem to confirm the account is actually his. Several posts are nearly identical to quotes he has made to news media. His wife’s account also lists his account as her husband.

Brenton’s Twitter posts range from hateful to obscene. Nearly of his recent posts attack conservatives and Republicans.

In one post from November of last year, Brenton calls Republicans racist.

“Not all Republicans are racists, but nearly all racists vote Republican.” He stated.

While in a Tweet two days later, he doubles down, stating the Republican party has always been racist.

Much of his ire is also focused in on President Trump. In one post, he calls Melania Trump a “hooker” while posting a nude photo of the former first lady. He also cites several debunked conspiracy theories, like the Russia collusion hoax.

Brenton also promotes political violence by cheering on a violent attack against Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Brenton also appears to support Critical Race Theory and radical gender ideology in schools. He “Liked” the following tweet supporting the controversial education practices in March of this year, just one day after his first interview with the Edwardsburg School Board.

During his interview with the Edwardsburg School Board earlier this month, Brenton also admitted to allowing and supporting children using the bathroom of their choice, regardless of their biological sex.

IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR

It turns out, Mark Brenton is not the only radical in his household. His wife’s social media is just as obscene, especially when it comes to the sexualization of children. In several posts on Facebook, Marrisa Brenton promotes a youth camp that invited drag queens to dance for children. She also defends teachers who push transgenderism onto kids by lambasting the term “groomer.”

Other posts include pro-abortion and anti-gun stances.

At Tuesday night’s interview, Mark Brenton was asked, “Is an individual’s social media comments an accurate example of their leadership?”

After an awkward pause for several seconds, Brenton responded, “I would hope so.”

The Edwardsburg School Board is having another meeting tonight at 5:30pm.

All of this comes on the heels of an RNM investigation regarding another Edwardsburg Superintendent candidate, Sarah Hickle, and her controversial practices while working in the administration at School City of Mishawaka.
