NEW YORK, N.Y. — During the February 17th, episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the most watched opinion news host gave REAL News Michiana a shout out for an investigation we did on former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s infrastructure record as mayor. President Joe Biden made Buttigieg the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, after Buttigieg’s failed presidential run in 2020.
“We wanted to know what his (Buttigieg’s) record on infrastructure was while mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Well, there’s a website called REAL News Michiana and it turns out, according to their reporting, Buttigieg does not have a very good track record when it comes to fixing roads.” Carlson said. “His so called keystone traffic initiative that he put together as mayor of South Bend, reportedly led to the death of an 11-year-old boy. That initiative deactivated a non-essential traffic light and the boy was struck by a truck.”
Carlson went on to interview local conservative radio host, Casey Hendrickson, of 95.3 MNC’s Casey Hendrickson Show. Hendrickson went on to discuss the terrible track record of Buttigieg as mayor.
“He has zero success in infrastructure planning in South Bend at all. Everything he touched, that dealt with transportation, was a miserable failure. Including “Smart Streets,” which got Tristan (the 11-year-old boy) killed.” Hendrickson explained.
This isn’t the first time an RNM story has been featured on the show. Tucker interviewed a parent who was being threatened with legal action by the law firm of a school board member for simply speaking up about masking in schools, after RNM broke the story in December.
