SOUTH BEND, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has confirmed through multiple sources the identity of a woman who took to social media to make light of (and appear to celebrate) the Assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk. RNM can now confirm the woman as Holly DeNeve, a Staff Attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services.
DeNeve, who goes by the name “Holly De” on Facebook, posted the following shortly after Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday: “Today was a real pain in the neck but I survived”. DeNeve wrote on Facebook along with several emojis, including six skull and crossbones and a winking face.
It’s important to note, Kirk was shot in the neck with graphic video of the horrific act going viral on social media.

Several sources confirmed to RNM that DeNeve, who lives in South Bend, is a Staff Attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services. According to her LinkedIn profile, DeNeve has worked for the Indiana Department of Child Services for nearly 14 years. RNM reached out to the Indiana DCS for comment. Within 30 minutes of our email to DCS, DeNeve deleted or made private nearly all of her social media accounts.

WHO IS HOLLY DENEVE?
DeNeve is rumored to be taking an appointed Probate Court Magistrate position in St. Joseph County next year. RNM has not been able to confirm DeNeve’s potential appointment to the bench, however, if it is true, she would be getting the job from an appointment by Republican Probate Judge Loris Zappia (who himself has been mired in controversy after he violently attacked his own brother last year).
Before DeNeve scrubbed her social media accounts, RNM pulled several posts showing her radical leftist views, including her push for radical Critical Race Theory concepts.

DeNeve is currently married to another local attorney, George Catanzarite, who was pictured in DeNeve’s profile picture. Catanzarite is currently an attorney for Stipp Law in South Bend focusing on Family Law. Catanzarite also works as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem, whose role is being representative for a child’s best interests in legal proceedings. RNM reached out to Catanzarite for comment, he did not respond.

RNM also reached out to the Indiana Department of Child Services for comment. A spokesperson for the agency directed us to speak with the Human Resources Department. The state’s HR department did not respond to our requests.
Correct contact information for DeNeve was not immediately available. RNM attempted to reach out to DeNeve on social media, but she had already deleted or made her accounts private by that time.
