SOUTH BEND, Ind. — REAL News Michiana has learned Logan Foster, the founder of the “news” organization “Redress South Bend“, started his organization as a ploy to skirt a no-trespass order that had been levied against him by the City of South Bend. It turns out, prior to starting “Redress South Bend”, Foster had been stalking, harassing and threatening city staff for weeks on end. Finally, in November of 2023, he had to be physically removed from the County-City Building for verbally attacking a female employee of the Mayor’s Office and refusing to leave. On November 16th, the City Attorney sent Foster a letter notifying him that he shall have no contact with the Mayor’s staff. That letter can be read below.
Shortly after Foster’s removal from the government office, Foster contacted RNM in the hopes that we would do a story about his issues with the city. RNM did our due diligence, investigating the issue. During our investigation, we discovered Foster’s history of harassing and berating city staff, police officers and more. RNM also learned about Foster’s history of severe brain trauma, caused by a tumor and stroke in 2009 — which could explain his erratic behavior.
In late November of 2023, RNM notified Foster that we would not be doing the story. Only weeks before contacting RNM, Foster had started a blog to talk about crime issues in the City. Since he had his blog, RNM suggested Foster write about his issues himself. Foster took that advice a step further, falsely branding himself as a journalist in an attempt to invoke first amendment protections to continue his harassing behavior. And, for the first several months of “Redress South Bend’s” existence, Foster wrote stories solely focused on the Mayor and his staff who had trespassed him from the government offices without ever disclosing the incidents.
Here’s the deal, Foster has zero journalistic credentials. He did not go to school for journalism. He has never worked as a journalist. He has no experience or formal education on media law, ethics, sourcing, etc.
WHO IS FUNDING FOSTER’S VENTURES?
So, how did this disabled man with no credentials appear to start a fairly well funded organization? It turns out, Logan Foster comes from a wealthy family. His father, Don Foster, is the President and Owner of Masonry Cosmetics Inc. Logan Foster serves as the Operations Manager of the same business. The masonry company also has a studio and professional video equipment used for demonstrations of their products.
Don Foster has also been assisting his son in his “stories” — according to the “Redress South Bend” website, Don Foster is in charge of doing interviews and research. Foster’s wife, Sarah Foster, is also listed as a researcher for his company under the name “Sarah Fishburn.”
BACKGROUND ON FOSTER’S PROBLEM WITH THE CITY
Foster first started his campaign against the City of South Bend in February of 2023, after he and his wife purchased a home on College Street on South Bend’s near northwest side. As everyone in the county knows, this is probably the most unsafe area in the city, with constant shootings and other violent crimes.
Foster, who grew up in South Bend, claimed that he had no clue his home was in an unsafe neighborhood and that city officials lied to him prior to his purchase of the property.
“I bought my home… due to studying the police transparency hub and looking at public crime data.” Foster wrote to RNM in an email on November 17th, 2023. “This was advertised as a safe neighborhood.”
Emails from City Staff show Logan Foster also claimed racial discrimination by city staff because he was the only “white person” in his neighborhood, stating his concerns about the criminal activity near his home were being ignored due to the color of his skin. He also made statements that he was the “only taxpayer” in his neighborhood, which should grant him greater access to government officials.

Given the current state of “professional” mainstream journalists, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Most of them are untrustworthy hacks who do more PR for the DNC than actual reporting.
